THE MORTGAGE REVIEW CHECKLIST

A better question:
does a change fit?

  1. Identify what you want a refinance to accomplish.
  2. Check your own documents for payment-change dates.
  3. Think about how long you expect to keep the home.
  4. Compare closing costs, total interest and remaining term.
  5. Ask about break-even timing, not just a monthly payment.

GOOD QUESTIONS

A few things
to know.

Is AAC a mortgage lender?+

No. AAC provides educational planning resources and reviews requests for follow-up. This is not a loan application, preapproval or offer of financing.

Can I use this anywhere in the United States?+

Yes. The planning resources and inquiry form welcome people across all 50 states and Washington, DC. Programs and eligibility vary by location. Nationwide education does not mean AAC offers or arranges loans in every state.

Do I need perfect credit or a specific down payment?+

This resource does not determine eligibility. Bring your questions about credit, down payments and assistance programs to a licensed mortgage professional who can assess your situation. We do not request your credit score.

Will refinancing save me money?+

Not necessarily. Fees, the new rate, the loan term and how long you keep the loan all matter. A lower monthly payment alone does not establish a saving.

What happens to my information?+

If you request follow-up, AAC stores your details in its restricted review queue. No automatic lender sharing is enabled. You can withdraw or delete your request from the same browser, or contact AAC for help.
